It gives us great pleasure to welcome you all to in Alsace for the 2017 Sjoelbak World Championship. The Championships will take place in the town of Lampertheim (near Strasbourg). We would like to encourage you to extend your stay in Alsace as there is plenty to see and do.

  • Culture & history:

Strasbourg is home to a world famous cathedral. The historic old town and various museums offer plenty of reasons to visit the town. Around Strasbourg there are many other historic sites and towns which are equally attractive.

  • Food & Drink:

Wine, beer, good food…Alsace has it all. From “Foie Gras” to “Tarte Flambée” and from locally brewed beer to the wine cellars on the Alsatian wine-route, there is something for everyone in Alsace.

  • Nature & countryside:

Strasbourg lies on the Rhine, between the Black Forest Forrest and the Vosges mountains. Whether you want to admire the typical storks (the symbol of Alsace) in one of Strasbourg’s parks or if you want to climb one of the 3000 feet peaks, spectacular landscapes are only a short drive away. You can also have a look at the “Agence d’Attractivité de l’Alsace (AAA) ” website, available in 11 languages, Experience du tourisme.
